Below are the dyno results from one of our test trucks. Overlayed on the dyno graph
are the best EVER pull with one of the popular box tuners on the market and then there are two pulls while tuning the truck
with EFILive.
As you can see, not only is PEAK power and torque higher, but it maintains
that power and carries it out farther. This tuning resulted in this truck going from an 1/8th mile time of 7.32 @ 94
mph with nitrous and drag radials to a time of 6.99 @ 99 with nitrous on street tires.
So what are the REAL advantages to using EFILive vs an off-the-shelf tune? Obviously the
power, as seen in the dyno sheets and times slips, but what about the things you CAN'T see; like the actual tuning itself?
Do you REALLY know what your tuner is doing? Have you ever wondered about that weird throttle hang? Have you ever
wondered why things are disabled to achieve a certain function? With EFILive, you don't have to guess. You and your tuner
build the tune to suit YOUR truck and your needs.
Below is just ONE example
of one of the tables from one of the popular tuners out today for the Cummins. This is the rail pressure map. As you can see,
this tune is asking for over 36,000 psi of rail pressure on a 5.9 Common Rail Cummins. The only thing that is preventing this
tune from destroying the engine are the limiters in the ECM. The factory limiter is set at 23,200 psi. That's the only reason
this "tune" hasn't destroyed motors. Also notice that it doesn't reduce that pressure based on commanded throttle
input until the RPM's come below 2000 RPM's.

Now, in contrast, here is one of our rail pressure maps for a customers truck that produced
just over 830 hp. This map asks for just under 24k psi and it's able to achieve this psi as we raised the ECM's limiter
from 23,200 psi to 24,000 psi. Also notice that the pressure rise is smooth and linear with both demand and RPM
increase, as it should.
We don't use a One-Size-Fits-All approach. That's not what you buy EFILive for and
it's not what you buy one of our tunes or our services for. Your truck is different from the next truck and needs to be adjusted
accordingly to see it's maximum benefits.
Tuning is now publicly available for
the 2006 - 2007 5.9 CR Cummins.
We are currently in Beta Testing for the 2007.5
- 2009 6.7 Cummins.
As we progress through testing, we will post updates here
and occassionally seek individuals that would like to assist with testing.
